What Our Hikers Say

An amazing day! João is fantastic: attentive, always ready to share his knowledge and stories, and completely flexible to our preferences. The hike is stunning, and we hardly saw anyone. The first part is quite easy, and the climb to the peak can be a bit more challenging, but it's optional — with the help of our guide, we easily made it to the top. This experience is a must for anyone looking to spend an incredible day in the mountains, far from the crowds.

Our guide, Joao Miguel, was punctual, polite, and did an excellent job. The tour was moderate, varied, informative, and well-planned. He gave us plenty of time for photos and breaks. A very good guide, definitely recommended. The tour was conducted in English. Thank you, Brigitte and Paul.

It was one of the best experiences we had on Madeira Island! The day before, we asked João if it would be possible to start earlier, and he promptly adjusted the plans — we reached the trailhead at sunrise, which by itself was already a magical experience. Throughout the entire hike, João shared insights and curiosities about everything we saw, and we even took a few detours to discover places off the usual route.
